Integrative counselling and psychotherapy draws on techniques from different types of therapy to tailor an approach specifically for you.
Using a blend of techniques, to create the most effective approach for you, including: Person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
What that means for you in the therapy room is that rather than being offered one approach and hoping it works, we can try lots of different types of therapy and then pick and choose the parts that work best for you. This might mean that each session feels very different from the last, or that we find one way of working that suits you every week but the choice is always yours.
Recognising that each individual comes with their own unique set of circumstances, perceptions, thoughts and feelings. This is designed to effectively help and support you, on a short-term or long-term basis. Enabling you to explore, managed, cope and grow through your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
Absolutely. Many clients find an online appointment (usually via zoom), gives them greater flexibility around their other commitments, being able to have therapy in their own environment where they feel comfortable, and even means they can have continuity should they move away, travel or unable to attend face-to-face.

I work with a huge variety of people, with diverse reasons for coming to counselling, both on a short-term and long-term capacity. There's no set timescale, all dependent on how you feel, what issues you'd like to work through and any key goals we can look at.
That's OK. It’s completely normal to feel a bit uncertain or nervous when trying something new. During your appointment, we'll take time to discuss your feelings and emotions. I'm here to listen and offer support in a safe, non-judgmental space.
The goal is to help you better understand your thoughts and feelings while providing you with the tools to navigate them.
I offer a free consultation where we can talk about why you're considering counselling, what to expect and whether it could be beneficial for you.
